Ever watched a parliamentary debate?
Know who your MP is?

Know how voting in laws work?
I didn’t know much either because no one really teaches you past a cursory social studies lesson – perhaps by design.
An uninformed populace is easy to manipulate and rule.
A divided people are easy to manipulate and rule.
I’ll TL:DR the process…
You vote for an MP and you vote for a party.
Your MP likely doesn’t interact with you till voting time.
Your MP may not even come from your region.
Then based on the number of votes the party gets they can slot in their own ‘list MP’s that are just members of the party.
Come law making time, they introduce a Bill
This Bill is then debated and eventually all the MPs vote.
Often times, the MPs vote blindly along party lines.
Where is your representation?
If you watch the live stream debates you’ll often note that nearly no one is there.
So get to know your MP and voice your concerns about what they vote for and why.
The system is built on ignorance.
It’s kind of like performance management.
Your MP is your employee. If they don’t do their job right or in the interest of their employer…should they get a raise?
